GC Built was entrusted by our private client to oversee a comprehensive industrial design and construction refurbishment project. The assignment entailed the execution of an existing external Development Application (DA), encompassing substantial facade upgrades, along with intricate internal enhancements.
Our in-house design team played a pivotal role in orchestrating the interior upgrades, ensuring a seamless integration of functionality and aesthetics. The scope of work included crucial elements such as fire service upgrades to enhance safety measures, asbestos removal, and strategic plumbing and mechanical upgrades to optimize operational efficiency. Our team also managed all aspects of the approvals needed, such as construction certificates (CC) & complying development certificates (CDC).
A significant aspect of the project involved the industrial design and construction of additional Ambulant and DDA compliant bathrooms. This not only aligns with the latest standards but also ensures that the refurbished industrial space is welcoming and accommodating to individuals with diverse needs.
Furthermore, the project included the installation of new kitchenettes, providing a modern and convenient amenity for the occupants. This thoughtful addition contributes to the overall functionality of the space, enhancing the daily operations and user experience within the industrial facility.
